My paints are traditionally ground by hand using a glass grinder on a glass plate and poured into the pans in several layers. This ensures a high concentration of pigment. I don't use chemical defoamers or any fillers, so it's always possible that small air pockets may appear in the pans due to the manufacturing process. This isn't a quality defect, but rather a characteristic of the traditional, hand-crafted process. I always try to fill the pans very well to eliminate any air bubbles.
Since each layer requires a certain amount of time to dry, depending on the pigment, producing a single color takes an average of four weeks. Each color is rubbed for approximately 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the pigment.

The paint is intended for painting on paper only - not for body painting. Do not ingest it, and do not use drinking or eating vessels to mix the paint.
